Vaibhav Gupta

(Direct Tax, Merger & Acquisition and Valuations)

Vaibhav leads the Direct Tax, M&A and Valuation practice of the Firm. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary. He has worked with international consulting firms for more than a decade before venturing into own consulting firm. He has about 24 years of post qualification experience in corporate tax, international taxation, transaction tax advisory and business restructurings along with valuations, compliance and regulatory matters. His experience includes advising on transaction structuring including demergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, capital restructuring, promoter shareholding, family settlements, advice on technical collaborations, cross border taxation like inbound and outbound investment structures, international holding structures, creating holding structure to capture value of operating companies, succession planning, enhancing promoters’ stake and tax due diligence.

Abhishek Sethi

(Indirect Tax, GST, Custom & Foreign Trade Policy)

Abhishek leads the Indirect Tax practice at the firm. He is a Chartered Accountant and a law graduate, from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He has previously worked with international consulting firms before venturing into own consulting firm. He has over 15 years of experience, including experience in legacy Indirect tax laws (VAT/Excise/Service tax), business structuring, tax optimisation, representation before tax authorities/Tribunal. He has led various GST transition & implementation assignments and is regularly assisting clients in compliance management, representation before GST authorities in audit, assessments, appeals and investigation matters. He is a regular speaker on GST & regularly imparts trainings on the subject, including for GST department/NACIN. He also assists clients in FTP & Customs matters, including SVB, Duty credit scrips, settlement commission, IGCR, AA, EPCG etc.

amit gupta

Amit leads the direct tax and Compliance & Outsourcing practice of the Firm. He is a Chartered Accountant. He has worked with three of the four large international consulting firms for more than a decade before venturing into own consulting firm. He has over 18 years of post-qualification experience in corporate tax , international taxation, tax technology and regulatory matters. His experience includes advising on international tax and domestic tax matters, handling complete tax litigations for domestic as well as international corporates , tax due diligences, representing tax matters before the tax authorities and developing and implementing technology solutions in the field of tax. In his industry stint, Amit has also lead India Direct tax function of one of the largest IT Company across globe.

Siddharth Nigam

(Centre Of Excellence & Indirect Tax)

Siddharth leads our global Centre of Excellence initiative and also co-leads the Indirect Tax practice of the Firm. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Law graduate with over 15 years of experience in business consulting, client service delivery, advisory, transition management and process development. He also has core experience in the field of Indirect taxation that comes with blend of industry + consulting work profiles while he was working with Larsen & Toubro Limited and Grant Thornton. He has lead assignments for various clients involving advisory, transaction structuring, representations and litigation management in GST / VAT and Customs law. He has also advised and lead various engagements focused towards successfully securing Foreign Trade Policy benefits and incentives for his clients. In terms of sector experience, Siddharth has worked with leading players in various sectors including Information Technology, Telecom, Automotive, Renewable Energy, Pharma and Industrial products. Siddharth has also hosted and addressed various technical sessions in forums such as CII, FICCI, ACMA, ICSI, NAHRD, Nuclear Power Corporation of India and Export Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZs.

Nidhi Puri

(Direct Tax & Transfer Pricing)

Nidhi leads corporate tax & transfer pricing practice of the Firm. She is a Chartered Accountant and a law graduate. She has previously worked with three of the four large consultancy firms and has about 20 years of post qualification experience in corporate, expat and international tax. Her experience includes advising on international tax and domestic tax matters, transfer pricing and structuring for the businesses, handholding startups through the tricky phases in their businesses, tax due diligences, creating dash boards for monitoring compliance by the companies, ESOP planning and payroll structuring, representing tax and transfer pricing matters before the tax authorities. She has also been a speaker at the ICAI’s International Taxation Certificate Course on several occasions.

Preeti V. Arora

Preeti leads regulatory & compliance practice at the Firm. She is a Company Secretary and Masters in Law (LLM). She brings along experience of about 15 years working in international consulting firms before venturing into her own practice. Her experience includes helping Clients set up businesses in India, assisting them to implement compliance systems which includes corporate secretarial, FEMA & securities law compliances and has also helped in obtaining regulatory approvals from RBI, MCA and like authorities. She has been actively helping clients in transaction structuring exercise from planning to implementation state. advising on transaction structuring including demergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, capital restructuring, promoter shareholding, advice on technical collaborations, cross border structures like inbound and outbound investment.

Ankur Wahal

Ankur is a senior advisor to the firm. He is an MBA from SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milano and FMS, Delhi. Ankur also holds LL.B. from CLC, Delhi University and LL.M. from Kurukshetra University. Ankur has worked with India’s leading Investment Banks and international consulting firms in Corporate Finance Advisory. He has more than 2 decades of experience in deal advisory (buy-side and sell-side), fund raise (PE, Debt, Mezzanine), valuations of different assets classes (equity, debt, hybrid securities) and financial restructuring. He has been a key resource in some of the most prominent investment and acquisition deals in then Indian market.

He has deep experience in Order Management, Network Design, Fleet Design, Inventory Management, Optimization, Predictive Analytics, Risk Analytics and Advanced Dashboarding. He has carried out high-impact supply chain and sales engagements with some of the most respected CPG companies.

Vikas Tarneja

Vikas co-leads the Centre of Excellence (CoE) practice of the Firm. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Management Accountant along with Six Sigma Green Belt certification. He has more than 30 years of work experience in finance and administration delivery and business transformation. He was previously working with Genpact for more than 2 decades where he led multiple global engagements across various industries such as retail, consumer goods healthcare and life sciences. During his tenure there, he has been instrumental in leading various large and complex transitions, flawless global delivery and decoupling/rebadging assignments for various clients across the globe. He spearheaded many transformation projects involving AI led digital intervention and successfully delivered high value and business impact to the customers.

Shivendra Pande

Shivendra co-leads Direct Tax and International Tax practice of the Firm. He is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India and a commerce graduate from University of Delhi. He also holds a post-graduate degree in Law from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He has developed his forte in the area of direct tax and international tax after working with some of the globally recognized firms. Shivendra has also worked with Indian Law Firm, specializing in taxation and based out of Delhi. With a combined work experience of 10+ years, he specializes in direct tax compliances, litigation and advisory. He has represented before the Direct Tax Authorities including Tax Tribunals, in addition to working with Senior Counsels for representations before the High Courts and Supreme Court. He has advised various government departments in matters pertaining to direct tax. He has served large multinational and Indian clients across a variety of sectors such as healthcare, telecom and real estate.

Jignasha Kalra

Jignasha leads the Strategic Business Advisory and Valuation practice of the firm. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience. She has lead the regional finance teams at successful start-ups like Swiggy and was a part of the core team at Fashinza. She has also worked with Taj Group of Hotels at the Corporate office and at the hotel unit and with consulting firms like PKF Sridhar and Santhanam. She has had exposure to areas of commercial finance, investor due diligence, internal controls, risk & assurance, budgeting & forecasting, finance controlling, working capital management and direct & indirect taxation.
