Associate - Direct Tax

Job Location: Delhi
Education qualification: Chartered Accountant
Prior experience:
  • A qualified Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of Direct tax and Accounting experience in public accounting firm or professional services firm.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of Direct Tax, Corporate Law, accounting standards and payroll.
  • Strong hands-on experience and knowledge of direct tax compliances.
  • Basic knowledge of Indirect tax, FEMA and RBI regulations
  • Experience in independently drafting memos and reports
Skills and competencies required:
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • High level skills of using Microsoft Office packages
  • Good research and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent drafting skills to be able to communicate complex tax ideas and analysis in plain English language to the clients and regulatory authorities

Scope of work:
    • The incumbent will have to work closely with Partner to execute client and internal assignments.
    • Work on technical assignments pertaining to accounting, income-tax, Companies Act, FEMA and RBI regulations including collating necessary information, undertaking research, creating reports / opinions, etc.
    • Independently (with minimal instruction from seniors) execute basic compliance assignments and undertake basic interaction with clients / regulatory authorities for the ongoing requirements of the projects.
    • Undertake tax office representation work especially representation before the Assessment Officer with minimal involvement of seniors.
    • Consistently deliver quality client services and take charge of the project area assigned
    • Effectively delegate portions of the assignment to the assigned team and coordinate, process and fine tune output generated by juniors for creating version of output which can be delivered to seniors and which will facilitate discussions with the Partner. On some assignments, may have to work as an individual contributor.
    • Take ownership for project management and proactively keeping track of outstanding matters, discussing the same with seniors and mobilizing juniors to complete pending tasks.
    • Efficiently manage time to ensure multiple assignments can be delivered efficiently on time.
    • Perform extensive research on tax compliance and other matters to continuously be able to demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
    • Be up-to-date with new developments in Tax advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
Traveling:

The job could require travel to client locations within India though the same is not foreseen in the near future

Associate - Indirect Tax

Consultant

Job Location: Hyderabad
Education qualification: Graduate or semi qualified with 3-4 years of experience
Prior experience:
  • A graduate or semi qualified with requisite years of experience in the field of Accounting and statutorycompliances.
  • Strong hands-on experience and knowledge of accounting standards, payroll and statutory compliance
  • Working knowledge of Direct Tax, Corporate Law, VAT and GST

  • With minimal instruction from seniors, execute compliance assignments like accounting and payroll and undertake basic interaction with clients / regulatory authorities for the ongoing requirements of the projects.
  • Check client’s compliance to all laws including Factories Act, Labour Law, PF, ESI, etc.
  • Ensure compliance to TDS payments, VAT & GST, Excise Payments, MCA filing, Income Tax filings, and all forms of returns
  • Undertake tax office representation work especially representation before the Assessment Officer with minimal involvement of seniors, if applicable.
  • Consistently deliver quality client services and take charge of the project area assigned
  • Take ownership for project management and proactively keeping track of outstanding matters, discussing the same with seniors and mobilizing juniors to complete pending tasks.
